They have been stars and certainly demonstrated a larger amount of sympathy and nursing skills than I have been known to muster. Their best effort was to bring me my knitting! Towards the end of the fever bit I was able to go round and round on the Lopapeysa of which I have enjoyed every moment, even the adventure of those steeks - which I saved for today.
In celebration of successfully cutting the steeks, the Smalls got to play salt dough. First Littlest Small got gooey, and was then joined in rapid succession by biggest and Medium Small. The rain is now washing away the evidence!
Unfortunately this means if I am well enough to blog I will soon be well enough to do all that assessment marking and start report writing... but I'm sure I can fit in a few more hours sick;)
BTW anyone know this plant?

Steeks! I've never dared to do them .
Not so much for fear of simply cutting, more the thought that they are so final. If the garment is the wrong size, it is too late to change it.
Thanks for your comment - it was very apt.
